A Council Scrutiny Committee will monitor health and social care services in Westminster. The Society, Families and Adult Services Policy and Scrutiny Committee meets this week and will scrutinise; Health; Adult social services; Adult social care; Community protection; Child poverty; Family Recovery Programme; and Rough sleepers and homelessness
The LINk will have a presence at each of the Committee’s meetings.
Westminster City Council has six Policy & Scrutiny Committees, overseen by the Westminster Scrutiny Commission. They meet regularly, inviting experts or "witnesses" to their meetings to assist in their scrutinies to monitoring services provided by the Council; it can be applied to any agency whose activities affect local people.
