NHS North West London has launched Shaping a healthier future for North West London, a programme setting out ideas for changes in how and where health services are delivered in eight local boroughs including Westminster. With a growing, changing population how the service’s resources are allocated will need to alter according to NHS NW London.

The aim of the programme is to ensure that the right care is delivered in the right places. More investment will be made in GPs, their services, and other local healthcare so that it is of a more consistently high standard, providing more proactive services in the community and ensuring proportionately more spend on services in local communities, and less on hospitals. 

NHS NW London has published a Case for Change document setting out why reform is needed. A full consultation will be launched in June.
